The East Lothian coastline is stunning with 5 blue flag award beaches with miles of sandy shores. 43 miles of coastal walks will exhaust and entertain guests both young and old. There are 22 golf courses within a radius of 25 miles from the cottage. The Lammermuir Hills to the south link us with the Border country with its castles and stately homes. There are ancient monuments to visit, cycle routes to explore, rocks and fossils to study, woodlands and islands bursting with wildlife as well as museums (including the National Museum of Flight) and a range of other attractions (see below) to keep you busy on cloudier days. Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands are all within easy reach by car and train. Edinburgh is only 25 minutes by train/car.
